2016 Mobility Clinics

Össur hosted another successful Mobility Clinic this time in Sydney, on the 21st and 22nd of April. The second clinic to be run in Australia again provided participants unique opportunities to connect with other amputees and improve their mobility.

Hosted by Össur’s very own Cathy Howells, an Australian physio working exclusively with amputees for over 30 years, the clinic saw over 100 people attend the 2-day event. Cathy was joined by a team of capable, experienced coaches and Össur Champions for both of the days, running the clinic from start to finish with total enthusiasm.

Attending physiotherapists, prosthetists, Össur champions and parents had the opportunity to build upon their own knowledge and work one-on-one with adult amputees and children with limb differences.

International comedian and amputee, Adam Hills, joined the event on the second day. Adam spent some quality time on the field with attendees and also provided a comedy routine to keep the fun and laughter rolling on. At the end of the clinic Adam presented vouchers for free Össur running blades to two lucky recipients.

Overall, the 2-day event was a huge success. Thank you to each and every person who joined and participated in such an amazing experience. Make sure you follow Össur on social media and join our Mobility Clinic Facebook group to find out about our next event – coming soon!
